Retractables

Retractables are similar to a cars seat belt. If pulled slowly it will extend, but if pulled fast to simulate falling then the brake mechanism will kick in to prevent any further extension. This is a must have when working on a site that has a fall hazard such as roofing or tall buildings.

Fall Tech's Retractables are fully-featured block with galvanized steel cable and CNC machined aluminum housing and drum. The internal brake is constructed with a hard-wearing bronze ratchet center and pawls with an alloy steel pressure plate. Also features the DuoTech load-indicating snap hook for attachment to the back D-ring of your full body harness.

Ultra Safe

Ultra-Safe - retractables, in accordance with DIN EN 360, are produced for maximum durability using outstanding technology for the demanding conditions of the workplace. All the components important to the devices functionality are made from rustproof material, aluminum or stainless steel and shockproof plastic. This sturdy method of construction ensures that Ultra-Safe retractables are always reliable in use and especially low-maintenance.

The new draft of DIN EN 360 requires all retractables are also tested in horizontal use. Falling over a sharp edge in particular is tested for this. The tests have fully confirmed that Ultra-Safe retractables satisfy this new standard.
